Brewtendo is not affiliated with WiiMart or Nintendo. Make sure to disconnect from Pretendo as well in order for Brewtendo to work. At this time, Bunnyzluver1998 needs to manually accept you — it may be fast or take a while, so please be patient. They're human too.

1
Homebrew your 3DS

Install Custom Firmware

If you haven't already, go to https://3ds.hacks.guide/ and follow the full guide to homebrew your 3DS. This is crucial — without it, this mod will NOT work.

2
Open Luma3DS Settings

Configure Luma3DS

Turn off your console if not already. Hold Select and power it on. Once in the Luma config screen, enable these two options:

  • "Enable game patching"
  • "Enable loading external firms and modules"

Save and reboot when done.

3
Get the IPS File

Download the patch

Download the IPS file using the button below, as well as refer to the connection guide.

⬇ Download IPS File
4
Copy the IPS file

Install to SD Card

Take out your 3DS SD Card and plug it into your PC. Navigate to:

SD:\luma\sysmodules\

Copy the .ips file into that folder. If asked to replace any files, click Replace.

💡 Tip: If you don't have a sysmodules folder, create one inside the luma folder.
5
Set up the proxy

Configure Network Settings

Put the SD Card back into your 3DS and turn it on. Navigate to:

System Settings → Internet Settings → Connection Settings

Select your active connection → Change Settings → scroll to Proxy Settings → Yes → Detailed Setup.

Enter the following:

Proxy Server: 69.202.205.93 Port: 2000

Click OK → Save Settings → Test Connection.

✅ If the connection test says successful, you're good to go!
6
Done!

Connect to Brewtendo

Exit System Settings, navigate to Nintendo eShop on your HOME Menu, and launch it. If it loads with the original categories and games on sale — congratulations, you're now logged into the Brewtendo servers! We can't wait to have you.

Games Disappearing on First Connection

This is normal — don't panic

On your first connection, games installed on your console may disappear from the HOME Menu. This does not affect saves unless an update is not found — be careful with titles like StreetPass (update is disabled / faketik not used).

To make your games reappear, use faketik:

  • Download faketik.3dsx
  • Place the file at SD:/3ds/faketik.3dsx
  • Launch faketik from the Homebrew Launcher
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to regenerate tickets — games will reappear
💡 Tip: faketik is also available on Universal Updater if you don't want to install it manually.

Theme Shop Data Deletion

Fix Theme Shop issues

If you're having issues with the Theme Shop, you can clear its save data via FBI:

  • Open FBI → Ext Save Data
  • USA: delete the ext save data ending in 000002cd
  • EUR: delete the ext save data ending in 000002ce

You're all set!

Your 3DS is back online. Time to catch up on what you missed.

1
Connection & Proxy Issues

Common symptoms

"Connection test failed", eShop pages won't load, error codes like 003-1101 or 003-1201.

What to do

  • Confirm the .ips is installed at SD:\luma\sysmodules\
  • Re-enter proxy settings exactly as shown:
Proxy Server: 69.202.205.93 Port: 3000
  • Switch to a phone hotspot to rule out ISP blocking
  • Try public DNS (1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8) in your router
💡 A successful connection test only verifies the network path, not each service endpoint. If the test passes but eShop is blank, reboot and try again.
2
eShop & Login Errors

Common error codes

005-5602, 007-2920, 007-2001, or an empty storefront.

What to do

  • Confirm your system time & date are correct
  • Verify proxy is set and .ips is in SD:\luma\sysmodules\
  • Delete and recreate the Internet connection settings
📝 Include your System Version when filing a GitHub issue — it helps developers narrow down the cause.
3
Homebrew & Luma3DS Problems

Common symptoms

Black screen on boot, "external modules not loaded", .ips patch not applied.

What to do

  • Verify CFW is properly installed via 3ds.hacks.guide
  • Confirm patch exists at SD:\luma\sysmodules\
  • Boot holding Select → enable game patching & external firms/modules
💡 Still seeing the original eShop after patching? Update Luma to the latest stable release and re-place the IPS file.
4
Server / Maintenance Errors

Common error codes

002-0102, 002-0120, or "try again later" messages.

What to do

  • Check Brewtendo status on Discord or GitHub
  • Wait 10–15 minutes — we're still in beta
  • If persistent, file a GitHub issue with the time, region, and error code
⚠ If others report outages on Discord, it's server-side. Don't change your console settings while developers investigate.
5
Games Disappearing

This is normal behavior

Games may vanish from your HOME Menu on first connection. Saves are unaffected (unless an update is missing — be careful with titles like StreetPass).

Fix with faketik

  • Place faketik.3dsx at SD:/3ds/faketik.3dsx
  • Launch from Homebrew Launcher and follow on-screen instructions
  • Also available on Universal Updater
6
Error Code Reference
  • 003-1101 / 003-1201 — Proxy/DNS problems. Re-check settings, try alternate DNS or network.
  • 005-5602 — Auth/certificate mismatch. Check system time & proxy.
  • 007-2920 / 007-2001 — eShop content errors. Re-install IPS patch.
  • 002-0102 / 002-0120 — Server-side failures. Check status, wait 10–30 min.
  • Other timeouts — Wi‑Fi signal, router firewall, NAT, or ISP blocking.
📸 Take a photo of the exact error screen and include the code & system version when contacting support.
